Now an important aspect of the accepted promotional mix, the facility of platforms such as Instagram and Facebook open new horizons for cost-effective targeting of potential customers.  At the same time, the frequent bombardment to which we are all subjected can be irritating rather than productive if the messages aren’t eye-catching and relevant.  We apply the same visual and content considerations to design for social media as we would to a printed advertising campaign, knowing that there are only seconds to arrest the attention of the reader.  That’s why we make our messages impactive or quirky to stand out from the crowd.
